My career began as simply a concerned citizen who wanted to figure out solutions to better serve my community in North Chicago, IL. This is how I got to where I am today:

Professional Experiences

Graduated from North Chicago Community High School and later attended Ohio University.
Service to the City of North Chicago as Mayor since 2003
Prior public service include, but not limited to the following:
- 4th Ward Alderman for 12 years;
- Commissioner on East Skokie Drainage District;
- Board member on Lake County Storm Water Agency;
- and Board member on
  Solid Waste Agency of Lake County.

My Private Life

My political views are inseparable from my private life. I grew up with the support of two loving parents in a family of five, and was always taught that achievement requires hard work and dedication. These are lessons I take with me in all walks of life.

As a politician, I want to strengthen the family values that provided me with such a rich childhood experience. Family-oriented policies and a strong school system are the keys to success in this area. I have pursued this agenda through the nonprofit arena for years and look forward to doing more as your elected official.
